What I Did:

When I began working with La Bloom Beauty in 2018, La Bloom Beauty had been featured in magazines such as Vogue UK and Nail Pro Magazine, however the brand’s marketing was limited to Instagram posts, stories, and collaborations. Founder Diana Moebius wanted to captivate her current audience and expand her reach with branded marketing emails.

 Another goal of Diana’s was to expand her content via monthly blog posts. She wanted to use her degree in Naturopathy to educate her audience on the importance of clean beauty and how to implement clean beauty into everyday life. 

Diana’s final goal was to pitch La Bloom Beauty products to various magazine editors. She needed an on-brand pitch deck that showcased her niche beauty products while highlighting her role as a founder and the knowledge that she brings to the table.

How it Worked:

After meeting with Diana to align on brand imagery, colors, and fonts, I crafted up to two marketing emails a month to send to La Bloom Beauty’s email lists. After nearly a year of building their email list, La Bloom Beauty earned, on average, a 25% open-rate for each marketing email. When I began curating and writing articles for La Bloom’s Blog, Diana felt that she had discovered the voice of her brand and was confident in taking back the responsibility of writing and designing La Bloom’s marketing emails. To date, La Bloom sends up to 4 marketing emails per month and is averaging a 30% open-rate.

Diana and I worked together to grow La Bloom’s blog from the ground up—writing 12 blog articles (1,000 words or less) in less than a year. Over the year, La Bloom Beauty’s blog grew to generate an average of 86 views and 17 likes per article. 

Using agreed upon design elements and language, I crafted an 8 page pitch deck that Diana could send to magazine editors. Diana plans to send the deck to editors this summer for a product feature spot in their respective magazines.

Diana continues to grow La Bloom Beauty in Los Angeles and through boutiques around the United States. We continue to grow out working relationship through ad-hoc content writing projects.
